Please meet outside the front gates of Gladstone Gaol, Ward Street Gladstone 5473

Step inside Gladstone Gaol after dark and uncover a past that refuses to rest. Built in 1881, this imposing stone prison was designed for punishment, discipline, and control—but long after the prisoners left, many believe something still remains. Walk the corridors where footsteps echo without cause, where cold air lingers in still rooms, and where shadowy figures are seen just beyond the edge of sight. This immersive night tour blends true crime, dark history, and chilling encounters into an unforgettable experience.

Within the Warden’s House, stories persist of a watchful presence—an authoritative figure said to still patrol the halls, long after duty should have ended. In the morgue, visitors often describe a sudden drop in temperature and an overwhelming heaviness, as though the room itself remembers those who died within its walls. A Block, once home to female prisoners, carries a different kind of unease, with reports of whispers, unseen touches, and even the faint scent of perfume lingering in the air.

In the so-called Birthing Room, the tragic story of Eliza Evershed unfolds—a woman who died just days before her release, and who some believe still makes her presence known through soft sounds and subtle movement. Beneath the watch tower, where guards once surveyed every movement, guests have reported the unsettling feeling of being watched, along with unexplained sounds on the stairs above.

B Block, where prisoners once waited to learn their fate, is known for strange, deliberate knocking that seems to travel along the walls—echoes, perhaps, of those who once tried to communicate in silence. And inside the chapel, a place of forced reflection and quiet obedience, visitors often speak of a lingering presence—something unseen, yet deeply felt in the stillness.

This is more than a ghost tour. It is a journey into the stories, the suffering, and the secrets of Gladstone Gaol… where the past is never truly silent.
